City Bakery

We are over in Mango, Jamshedpur, right in the Munshi Mohalla area. If you go towards the Post Office, you’ll find us easily enough. The bakery has been here for a good while, serving the people in the 831012 zip code. It's a small shop. We bake things daily, mostly bread and some basic biscuits that people like to have with their tea. The smell of the oven usually fills up the street in the mornings. It’s not a big industrial operation. We just have a couple of guys working the dough and keeping the shelves stocked. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty with flour, but that's just how it goes when you’re baking all day. People from the neighborhood stop by on their way home or while they're out running errands at the post office. We don't have any seating, it’s mostly just a counter where you pick up what you need and go. The display cases are old and have seen better days, but they do the job. We try to keep things fresh, but once we sell out of something, that’s it for the day. Living in Jamshedpur is alright, and being in Mango keeps us busy. We are just a local bakery doing our thing. No fancy cakes with a lot of frosting here, just the usual stuff folks eat every day. Sometimes we have some extra buns late in the evening if it's been a slow afternoon.
