Adanakottai Cashew Fed Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our office is at No. 129 on Kallar Street in Vannarapatti, which is part of Adanakottai. We focus on cashews because that is what grows well around here. It is a producer company, which means a lot of different farmers are involved. We use the space at No. 129 to coordinate everything. It is not a large place, just enough room for us to meet and keep our records. Cashew season is the busiest time for us. Everything happens at once and we are usually working late into the night. The rest of the year is a bit slower, but there is still plenty to do. We don't have any fancy marketing people. It’s just us farmers trying to get a better deal for our crop. Adanakottai is a quiet place, but when the harvest comes, everyone is busy. We’ve been at this for a few years now. Sometimes the crops are good, sometimes they aren't, and we just have to deal with it. We don't use much technology, mostly just notebooks and the occasional phone call. People stop by the Kallar Street office to check on prices or just to have a chat. It feels more like a community center than a business sometimes. We like it that way. It is honest work and we are all in it together. No big promises, just trying to sell our cashews.
