Our place is at 129, Kurunathankottai, which is part of the Thoorambadi Post area in Mambadi. It is a bit of a drive from the main Dharapuram town, but we like it out here. We are a group of farmers who decided to get together under the name Viradapuram Fed Farmers Producer Company Limited. Being in the Erode district, we deal with a lot of the usual crops you see around here. The office is just a small building where we meet to talk about the harvests and what we need for the next season. It can get very dry in this part of Tamil Nadu, so we spend a lot of time talking about water and wells. There are quite a few of us involved now. We don't have a big corporate office or anything, just a room with some chairs and a desk where the paperwork stays. Most of the time we are actually out in the fields rather than sitting inside.
