Sirumalai Drumstick Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our office is located at 304, A.Vellodu, in the Dindigul West area. We are all about drumsticks here, the kind you see growing on those tall, thin trees. Around Sirumalai, these trees are everywhere, and they are a big part of our lives. We formed this company because we wanted to organize the drumstick farmers in A.Vellodu so we could have a better voice. It’s a simple setup. We meet in a small room, and there is usually a lot of shouting and laughing going on. We talk about the weather a lot because drumsticks need the right conditions to grow well. When it’s harvest time, everything gets very frantic. We have piles of drumsticks being brought in, and we have to get them sorted quickly. It’s a lot of manual labor, and our hands get sticky from the sap. We are just a group of neighbors who have known each other for years. We don’t try to act like a big city company. We are just farmers. Sometimes we run into problems with transport or the market, but we figure it out together. The Dindigul West area is home to us, and we take pride in what we grow here. It’s not a complex business model; it’s just about getting the produce out of the fields and into the world. We work hard, and we hope the trees stay healthy for the next season.
