Devi Farms

At Devi Farms, we are located at 41-2/14C in Vevik Ananda Nagar, which is part of the Dindigul district. Our life revolves around the soil and what we can grow on this piece of land. It is a working farm, so don't expect paved walkways or manicured lawns. There is usually a bit of mud on our boots and the sun can get pretty hot during the middle of the day. We have different sections for various crops and we spend most of our hours outdoors. The farmhouse is where we keep all our tools and records, and it’s usually a bit of a mess with seeds and empty bags. Dindigul has its own way of doing things, and we try to stick to the traditional methods we learned from the older folks. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales department. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to find us out in the fields or near the storage shed. The work is hard and some seasons are better than others depending on the rain. We handle the watering, the weeding, and the harvesting mostly by ourselves with a little help now and then. It is a simple existence, but it feels right to be producing something useful. We keep our gates open during the day and there is always a lot to do before the sun goes down. The old tractor makes noise but it works.
