Unnatikrishi Vikas Farmer Producer Company Limited

So we are over here in Kodai Village, right near where the Mahadeopost is in Itwa. It is mostly just a few of us who decided to call ourselves Unnatikrishi Vikas Farmer Producer Company Limited because that is what was needed for the paperwork. My cousin says the name is a mouthful but it gets the point across. We spend most of our mornings out in the fields before the sun gets too hot to breathe. There is a lot of dust on the roads around here. We have this small office space at the house in Kodai where we keep all the registers and some bags of supplies. It is not like those offices you see in the big cities with glass walls. We have some wooden chairs and a fan that squeaks when it turns. Most days you can find one of us sitting there talking about the price of diesel or why the rain is late again this year. We started this because we realized that if we all pool our things together, maybe we can get a better handle on the market. It is hard work being a farmer and even harder when you try to handle the business side of things alone. We just want to make sure the crops we grow actually bring enough home to keep the roofs repaired and the kids in school. Nothing special about us, really, just folks from the village trying to make it work.
