Our group, Lekhraj Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located in the village of Kamahariya, right near Padri Bazar in the Salempur area. Munna Lal Gupta is the person who looks after the main address for us. It’s a quiet part of Deoria, and we are just local farmers who decided it was time to work together. We don't have a corporate office with a sign out front. Usually, we just meet at Munna Lal’s place to discuss our plans for the season. Farming in Kamahariya is what we’ve done all our lives. We formed the company to help each other out with things like seeds and selling our produce. It’s a lot of work to manage the business side along with the fields, but we are doing our best. Most of the talk around here is about the soil and the crops, not big business deals. We are regular people who wear dusty clothes and work hard every day. If you’re looking for us, just head toward Padri Bazar and ask for the Gupta family. We don't have any mission statements or anything like that.
