Sumerganj Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based out of Sumerganj, near the Ram Sanehighat area. Our small group is known as Sumerganj Farmer Producer Company Limited. We handle most of our business from Jagdev Prasad’s house in the village. It’s a very simple setup because we are just local farmers, not some big company from the city. Most of our time is spent outdoors in the sun, making sure our crops are growing okay. We started this because doing everything alone was getting too difficult. Now we talk to each other about what we are growing and try to get things like fertilizer together so it’s a bit cheaper. We aren't looking to change the world. We just want to make sure we can provide for our families and keep our farms running. You won’t see anything polished or corporate here. Our hands are usually dirty and we talk in plain English about the rain and the soil. Ram Sanehighat is where our roots are. We know all the families around here and they know us. Sometimes we sit together after a long day and just talk about the next season. It’s a lot of work and sometimes the market isn't kind to us, but we keep going. We don't have any big promises to make. We are just a bunch of neighbors working the same land and trying to make it work together. It’s as honest as it gets.
