I've been at Okhla Main Market at number 300 for a while now. It's a busy spot, you know how Okhla is, always people moving around and cars honking. We just handle mobile stuff here, mostly repairs and selling accessories like chargers and earphones. The shop isn't huge but we have what people need when their phone screen breaks or the battery stops holding a charge. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the afternoons when everyone is out shopping for groceries and then they realize they need a new screen guard. I usually sit near the counter while my cousin helps out with the technical things in the back. We see all kinds of phones, old ones and the new models too. It’s just a normal day-to-day business where we try to get things fixed so people can get back to their work. The market has changed a lot over the years but our spot at 300 stays the same. People come in asking for balance recharges or just looking for a cheap second-hand phone. Sometimes the power goes out in the market and we just wait it out with the shutters halfway down. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning that works all the time, but it’s where we work. We have different cables hanging on the walls and boxes of parts everywhere. If you walk past the main mosque and head into the market, you’ll find us easily enough. We keep it simple.
