Defence Telecom Gellery

If you know the Defence Colony Flyover Market, you probably know where Shop No. 133 is. It is right there under the big concrete structure. The sound of cars driving overhead is something we just got used to over the years. Defence Telecom Gellery is a small place, really just a narrow room filled with phone cases, chargers, and boxes of spare parts. It gets crowded when more than three people come in at once. Most of our day is spent fixing cracked screens or trying to figure out why someone’s battery won't hold a charge anymore. People are always in a hurry when they come here because their phones are broken and they feel lost without them. We try to work fast, but some of these modern gadgets are a real pain to open up without breaking something else. The flyover provides some shade, which is nice in the summer, but it also makes the shop feel a bit tucked away from the sun. I usually sit behind the small counter and handle the repairs while listening to the radio. We get all sorts of people walking by, from students to office workers. Sometimes someone just stops in to buy a cheap pair of earphones because they lost theirs on the bus. We have a lot of regular customers from the neighborhood who just stop by to say hello or ask for a quick recharge. It is a busy little corner of the market at shop 133.
