Zafar Communication

Being here in Old Jasola Village at D 20 feels different than being in the main Jasola Vihar area. It’s got more of that old village feel where everyone knows each other’s business. Zafar Communication has been in this spot for a while now. The building is a bit older and the stairs nearby are narrow. Most days, I’m just sitting behind the counter waiting for the morning rush to die down. People bring in all sorts of old gadgets that they’ve had for years. It’s interesting to see what people keep using. The street outside is usually full of kids playing or people heading to the market. We keep a few chairs for people to sit while they wait, but they usually just stand and watch what I’m doing. I like the light that comes in through the door in the late afternoon. It makes the dust in the air look like gold for a few minutes. Then the sun goes behind the buildings and it gets dark quickly. We have a small radio that plays mostly old songs to keep things from being too quiet when no one is talking. It’s a simple setup. There’s no big sign with flashing lights, just a place where you can get your phone checked out. I’ve spent more time in this small room than in my own living room.
