World Links

World Links has been running out of Jangpura on Birbal Road, number 7, for quite some time. We handle a bit of everything here, from courier services to helping people with their online forms. The office isn't very big, mostly just a desk with a computer and a printer that occasionally jams when we are in a hurry. There are always stacks of envelopes and packages waiting to be picked up near the door. It gets a bit dusty with all the paper around, and the shelves are a bit crooked. We stay busy with the locals who come in to send parcels to their relatives or need something scanned and emailed. It’s a quiet street usually, except when the delivery vans arrive and block the path for a few minutes. I spend a lot of time on the phone checking where things are in the system. We don't have any fancy signs inside, just some taped-up notices about timings and rates. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait around, which is frustrating but that’s just how it is in this area. My nephew comes in to help with the computer stuff since he's faster at typing than I am. We’ve got a small fan in the corner that makes a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough during the summer months. People in Jangpura know us as the place to go when they have a package to send or a letter to mail. We just try to get things done without making a fuss.
