About Wadhwa Tent & Light House – Event & Planning in Delhi
We are just here near the Holi Cross School in Najafgarh, which is where we keep all the stuff for Wadhwa Tent & Light House. Most days start pretty early because there is always some equipment to move or some wires that need looking at. We have been in this spot for a while now and everyone knows the landmark of the school nearby. When the kids are coming or going, the road gets really blocked up with traffic and cycles, so we try to get our big trucks out before that happens. It is a lot of heavy lifting, honestly. We have these long metal poles and big rolls of colored cloth stacked up in the back. Sometimes the lights get tangled and someone has to sit for an hour just to get the fairy lights straight again. It is not glamorous work, just regular labor. The dust from the road gets on everything, so we are always wiping things down with a rag. We handle the tents and the generator sets and all the lighting stuff for local functions around here. If it rains, things get messy with the mud and the wet canvas, but that is just part of it. We keep our gear in the sheds and try to stay organized, even though it looks like a bit of a mess to anyone walking in. It’s mostly just us doing the same routine every day, making sure the bulbs work and the fabric isn't torn before it goes out. That’s pretty much the daily life at the shop.
