Puri Tent & Caterers

Working at Puri Tent & Caterers means we are always on the move. Our main office is at 1077 Hardhyan Singh Road in Karol Bagh, but we spend most of our time out at different event sites. The shop itself is usually filled with big cooking pots, rolls of fabric, and stacks of folding chairs. It is a bit of a jumble inside 1077 because there is always something coming in or going out for a party. When the wedding season starts, this whole street gets very busy and we are often up until the middle of the night loading trucks. Hardhyan Singh Road is always full of activity, and we have to be quick with our work so we don't block the narrow lanes for too long. My clothes usually smell like woodsmoke or spices from the big kitchens we set up. It is physically demanding work, lifting heavy poles and crates of dishes, but we are used to it by now. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for years, and we all know how to get a tent up in no time. Sometimes things go wrong, like a sudden rainstorm soaking the decorations, and we have to scramble to fix it all. At the end of a long day, we just sit back at the shop and have a cup of tea before heading home. It is a lot of work to make these events happen, and 1077 is where it all starts.
