Shagun Tent

We are Shagun Tent and we sit right in the middle of Janakpuri Possangi Pur Market at WZ 62 J. If you’ve ever walked through the market, you might have seen our stacks of chairs and big rolls of colored cloth. This business is mostly about manual labor and getting things done on time. Weddings and local parties keep us moving constantly. One day we are hauling heavy iron poles and the next we are trying to get the wrinkles out of a backdrop. Janakpuri is a big area so we end up traveling around quite a bit from our base at WZ 62 J. The market is always loud and there is never enough parking, but we’ve been here long enough that we know all the other shopkeepers. We don't have a big office or anything. It's mostly just a place to store the gear and talk to people about what they need for their events. My hands are usually a bit dusty from the ropes and the canvas. It's not glamorous work, especially when it's hot outside and we have to set up a whole decorative structure in a small space. We just do what we do. People come to us because they know we are right here in the market and won't disappear. It’s just how things work in this part of Janakpuri. We keep our gear ready and wait for the next job to come in, hoping for good weather.
