Kanakshree Tent And Decorators is based in South Extension Part -I. We have been doing this kind of work for a long time now. Our office is tucked away in one of the lanes here. We have a lot of stuff like iron poles, heavy cloth, and old chairs stored in a godown nearby. South Extension is a busy area with lots of fancy shops, but our work is more about the labor and getting things set up on time. We spend most of our days out on sites, putting up tents for weddings or small functions in people's gardens. The phone rings at odd hours and we have to go see the space. It is not an easy job. The workers are always moving heavy bamboo sticks and big rolls of red carpet. Sometimes the weather doesn't help and we have to rush to cover things up before the rain starts. We do not have a glossy catalog. We just show people photos on a mobile phone or explain what we can do with the space they have. Being in Part -I means we see a lot of traffic and busy streets every day. We are not trying to be the biggest company in Delhi. We just want to make sure the tent stays up and the lights work when they are supposed to. It is a lot of hard work and dirty hands, but that is how Kanakshree has always operated.
