Our shop is tucked away in Daya Basti, part of the Anand Parbat area, at 12451. It’s a small corner for photocopying and printing. I opened this place because there weren’t many options for the students and workers around here to get their papers done. It’s not a large store, just enough room for a couple of machines and a counter. Some days it gets quite crowded, especially when someone has a big project or needs a lot of IDs copied. The machines are old but they still run fine if you treat them right. I spend a lot of time fixing paper jams or refilling the toner myself. People come in from the nearby railway colony or the industrial side of Anand Parbat. It’s a working-class neighborhood, so everyone is usually in a bit of a hurry. I try to get things done fast so they don’t have to wait around too long. There’s always a pile of paper on the desk and the smell of ink in the air. It’s just me here most of the time, though sometimes my brother comes in to help when it’s really busy in the evenings. It’s a quiet life, just making copies and chatting with the neighbors who stop by. We don’t have a website or any fancy marketing. If people need us, they just walk in through the door. It’s been this way for years and it suits me just fine.
