V G Communications is tucked away in the Bagichi Ramchander area of Paharganj. If you know the 4019 address, you know it's a bit of a maze back here. Paharganj is always crowded with travelers and locals, so there’s never a quiet moment. We deal with all sorts of communication stuff. Mostly it’s mobile repairs and selling small gadgets. People drop their phones in the street or get them wet, and they bring them to us. We spend a lot of time under those magnifying lamps looking at tiny motherboards. It’s dusty work sometimes. We started this because we liked fiddling with electronics. It isn’t a shiny mall shop. It’s a small space where tools are scattered around and the tea guy comes by twice a day. We know the other shopkeepers around here well. We help each other out when we run out of change or need a specific spare part. Sometimes customers are in a hurry because they have a train to catch at the station nearby. We try to work fast but some things just take time to fix. It’s a honest living. We don't make big promises, we just tell people if a phone can be saved or if it’s gone for good. That's how we've kept going all these years in this corner of the city. We don't need much else as long as the work keeps coming in.
