We are located right in the middle of the Kirti Nagar W H S Timber Market at A 1. It’s an interesting place for a telecom shop because most of the neighbors are dealing with wood and furniture. Being at Umang Telecom means we get a lot of workers and business owners coming in from the nearby warehouses. I’ve had the shop here for several years. It gets dusty because of all the timber work nearby, so I’m always wiping down the glass counters. We mostly deal with mobile repairs and accessories. If someone drops their phone on the concrete floor of a workshop, they bring it here. I keep a good variety of tempered glass and sturdy cases because phones take a beating in this area. It’s not just about selling things; often people just need help figuring out their settings or why an app isn't opening. The shop is small, so there isn't much room to sit, but people don't seem to mind waiting outside for a bit. Lunchtimes are usually the busiest when the market takes a break. I drink a lot of tea while working on phones. It’s a busy environment and there is always some noise from the trucks loading outside. We just keep our heads down and get the repairs done so people can get back to their jobs. It’s practical work for a practical neighborhood. Everyone here knows each other's name and we help out where we can.
