Down in Govindpuri, specifically at 1088/10 in Kalkaji, we have our little place called Tribhuwan Telecom. It isn't a very large shop, but we manage to fit a lot into it. We spend most of our time doing recharges for people’s phones or selling them a new SIM card when they lose theirs. The walls are covered with those colorful posters for different data plans, though most of them are probably out of date by now. We have a glass counter where we keep the newer phones and some of the second-hand ones people have traded in. It’s a busy neighborhood, and there is always someone popping in to ask a question about their bill or why their internet isn't working. We don't have any fancy titles; we just sit here and help out as best as we can. Sometimes the shop gets dusty from the street, so we have to wipe things down a few times a day. We know the other shopkeepers around us, and we often share a tea in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. It is a simple business, really. We just make sure we have enough stock of chargers and earphones because those are the things people always seem to be breaking or losing. We’ve been here for a good while now and we have seen the neighborhood change, but our shop stays pretty much the same, just a regular spot for regular people.
