If you go to Kingsway Camp, near the Outram Line at number 6, you will find Tiwari Telecom. Since we are near the university area, we get a lot of students coming in. They are usually looking for cheap data packs or a new pair of headphones because they lost their old ones at the library. The shop is often a bit messy with boxes of phone cases and papers from the photocopier. Yes, we do some printing and copying too, because that's what people in this area need. It gets very busy in the evenings when classes are over and everyone is heading back to their hostels or homes. Sometimes we have three or four people waiting at once, and it gets a bit chaotic behind the counter. We don’t use any corporate talk; we just tell people the price and get the job done. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. We see the same faces almost every day, and it feels good to be a regular part of their routine. Whether it’s a quick recharge or helping someone figure out their phone settings, we just take it one customer at a time. It’s a busy life here at Kingsway Camp, but it keeps us on our toes and the days go by fast. We don't need much more than a steady stream of customers.
