Time Emporium

Time Emporium is our little watch and clock shop at D-82 on the Malviya Nagar Main Road. If you walk past, you can usually hear the ticking of dozens of clocks all at once. It’s a sound we have grown very used to over the years. We handle a lot of repairs, mostly replacing batteries or fixing broken straps for people in the neighborhood. The shop at D-82 isn't very large, so the walls are covered from floor to ceiling with different timepieces. Some are old and dusty, others are newer models. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Most people just walk in because they saw our sign while stuck in traffic on the main road. My uncle used to run the place, and I took over after he retired. It is a bit of a slow-paced job, sitting behind the glass counter with a magnifying glass. We see a lot of the same faces every month. The Malviya Nagar area has changed a lot, but our shop feels like it has stayed the same for decades. We don’t have any fancy sales tactics or loud music playing. It is just a quiet place to get your watch fixed or buy a simple wall clock. Sometimes the bells on the clocks go off at the same time and it makes a real racket. But that’s just part of being here.
