You can find The Mobile Hut over in Patel Nagar South, at number 21. It’s a small place, really just a little hut-sized shop as the name suggests. We deal with mobile repairs and selling all the small bits like earphones and screen protectors. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we know a lot of the families who live on the street. I’ve lived in this area most of my life, so it felt natural to open a shop here. The shelves are mostly made of wood that I painted myself, and they are starting to show some wear now. I have a small workbench in the back with a magnifying glass and a soldering iron for when I have to open up a phone. It’s delicate work and sometimes my eyes get tired by the end of the day. The shop stays quite cool because it doesn't get direct sunlight, which is a blessing in the summer. We have a small radio that plays the local news or some old songs while I work. Sometimes the kids from the school nearby stop in to look at the fancy phone cases, even if they don't buy anything. It’s just me running things most of the time. I like the independence of it, even if some months are slower than others. It’s just a simple life here in Patel Nagar, keeping people’s phones working as best as I can every day.
