Our office is tucked away in Sarojini Nagar at G-87, which most people know as a huge shopping hub in New Delhi. Being here means there is always something going on outside, especially on weekends when the crowds get really thick. Inside the building, it's a bit different. We have our desks set up and everyone is usually busy with something on their screen or talking on the phone. It’s not the quietest place because the sounds of the street tend to drift in, but we’ve all gotten used to it by now. The tea lady comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when everyone takes a little break from the screens. We don’t have fancy lounges or anything, just a basic kitchen area and some old files stacked in the corners. Getting to work can be a bit of a struggle with the Metro and the rickshaws, but once you’re at the desk, it’s just another day at the office. We spend a lot of time just coordinating things and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. It’s a practical space. Some of the chairs have seen better days, and the air conditioning can be a bit moody in the peak of summer, but it gets the job done. We just come in, do what needs to be done for the group, and head back out into the Delhi heat when the shift is over for the day.
