Our office is over in Vasant Kunj, at 6588, C-6&7. It’s a pretty well-known spot in this part of New Delhi. Being in the news and media business means things never really stop. There is always someone coming in or going out, usually in a hurry. We have been around for a long time, and you can see it in the way the office is set up. There are stacks of magazines everywhere and old photographs on the walls. It’s not a quiet place. You hear people debating stories or shouting about a deadline that’s five minutes away. We aren't trying to be a sleek, modern tech startup. We’re more of a traditional place that has had to learn how to live in a digital world. Our desks are usually covered in notebooks and half-empty tea cups. It’s the kind of environment where you just put your head down and do the work. The neighborhood is good, even if the traffic near the malls can be a headache in the evenings. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit from our windows here. We just keep reporting and printing and filming. It’s a lot of hard work and long nights, but that’s the life we chose. We don’t need a lot of fluff to explain it. We’re just here in Vasant Kunj, doing what we’ve always done, and that’s plenty for us to focus on every single day.
