Tanish Communication

Tanish Communication is tucked away in the Bhajanpura area, right in the middle of Chaudhary Rambal Market at B 421. Most mornings start with unlocking the front shutter and wiping the dust off the glass counters. It is a noisy spot because the main market is always moving, but you get used to the sound of horns and people talking outside. We spend most of the day handling phone recharges, looking at broken screens, and helping people figure out why their data isn't working. The shop is small and the shelves are crowded with chargers and plastic cases that have been there a while. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we just sit there in the dark for a bit talking to the shopkeeper next door until it comes back on. It’s a simple routine. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Customers come in looking for a quick fix or a new SIM card and we do what we can with what is on the desk. By the time evening hits, the market gets even more crowded and we are usually just trying to keep the floor clean from all the foot traffic. It’s not a fancy office, just a workspace in a busy part of town where things get done between tea breaks and small talk with the regulars who pass by every single day.
