We run Talwar Tents out of a spot in Paschimpuri at 437/3. It is a simple setup where we store all the gear needed to put up shelters for various events. Our daily routine involves checking the poles for rust and making sure the tent covers are clean and ready to go. The space at 437/3 is often crowded with stacks of chairs and bundles of fabric that we use for different occasions. We don't have a big office or a reception area; it is more of a working warehouse where the real work happens. When someone needs a tent, we load up the cart or the small truck and head out to their location. Paschimpuri is where we do most of our work, so we are familiar with the streets and the local parks where people usually host their events. It is a lot of physical labor, and our hands are usually calloused from handling the ropes and metal frames all day. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the wind picks up while we are trying to secure a large canopy. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep our equipment in decent shape. There is always something that needs repairing or a light that needs a new bulb. It is a humble business, and we are just regular people working hard to keep things moving in our little corner of the city. We enjoy the work and the people we meet.
