Sunny Telecom Centre

Out here in Jaitpur Badarpur, at B 3 1, we run this small telecom shop. It’s nothing too big, just a simple place where we sell phones and help people with their connections. The area is always humming with people going about their business, and we are right in the thick of it. Inside, you’ll find shelves with different mobile covers and a lot of wires for chargers. We spend a lot of time helping people set up their new devices or explaining why their internet isn't working the way it should. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of small tasks that fill up the day. We don’t have a big team, so it’s usually just one or two of us behind the counter. The shop can get a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once, but we manage. We aren't worried about being the flashiest shop on the block. We just want to make sure people get what they need so they can stay connected to their families. Sometimes the weather makes the shop a bit uncomfortable, but we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze we can. It’s a straightforward life here at Sunny Telecom Centre. We’ve been here long enough that the locals know they can just drop in whenever they have a quick question about their handset.
