Sukhbir Tent & Caterers

Sukhbir Tent & Caterers is based in the Madangir D D A Flats area, specifically at 9/196. Our work is mostly done outside at event sites, but this is where we keep all the gear. We have stacks of folded tents, bundles of poles, and those heavy iron frames that take a few people to move. Then there’s the catering side, so there are large metal degs for cooking, hundreds of plates, and crates of spoons that need cleaning after every job. Madangir is a crowded place, so loading the trucks for a wedding or a function takes some planning so we don't block the road for too long. During the peak wedding season, it’s quite chaotic here with people coming and going at all hours. We spend a lot of time checking the fabrics for holes or stains and making sure the stove burners are working safely. It’s hard physical labor, especially when the sun is out and we’re setting up a big marquee. We don’t have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a functional space where the stuff is stored and maintained. You’ll often see us out front sorting through the linens or washing the big cooking pots. It’s a local business run by people who know how to handle a crowd. We just try to get the job done so the event goes off without any problems.
