Our place is at 26/4 in Punjabi Bagh East. It’s a fairly busy street with lots of vehicles moving through. We have a large door at the front because we are always moving heavy things in and out. The floor is concrete and has some cracks in it from the years of use. We keep the tents and the poles stacked along the walls. It can get pretty dusty in there, especially when the wind blows in from the road. We spend a lot of our time out on sites, so the shop is often just a place for us to organize our gear and load up the trucks. The phone rings a lot and we usually have someone sitting by the desk to take notes. Punjabi Bagh is a good central spot for us to reach different parts of the city. We have some old wooden benches where the crew sits and has their tea before heading out. The walls are covered with some old calendars and a few lists of what needs to be done. It’s not a fancy office at all. We have grease on the floors sometimes and the smell of canvas is everywhere. It’s just how a tent business looks. We’ve been here at this address for a long time and the neighbors all know us. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. It is a noisy, busy place most days. We keep at it.
