Star Mobile Service Centre

Star Mobile Service Centre is located in the Bhajanpura area, specifically at the Sukhet service point. It’s a tiny shop, but we have a lot of tools packed into the workspace. Most of the day, I’m sitting behind a desk with a magnifying glass and a tiny screwdriver. We get a lot of phones with cracked screens or batteries that won't hold a charge anymore. People are usually in a hurry and they keep asking when their phone will be ready. I try to explain that some things take time, especially if we have to wait for a specific part to arrive. The shop is often cluttered with old phone cases and disassembled tablets. We have a small counter where people leave their devices and I give them a handwritten receipt. It’s a bit of a headache when the software doesn't behave, but that’s just the nature of electronics. Bhajanpura is a noisy place, and the sounds from the street come right into the shop. Sometimes my eyes get tired from looking at the small circuit boards for too long. We don't do any big marketing. Most people find us because their friend told them we could fix their speaker or charging port. It’s a practical job and it keeps my mind sharp trying to figure out what’s wrong with each device. I usually stay open late because people come by after they finish their own jobs at night.
