Standard Sales Corporation is located at 111 in the Old Lajpat Rai Market. If you know this market, you know it’s the heart of electronics in Delhi. It’s a very old building and the corridors are quite narrow and dark. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of electronic components and parts. It looks like a mess to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. We’ve been here for decades. The walls have stains and the wiring is a bit messy, but that’s just how things are in this part of town. We deal with a lot of wholesale buyers and also people looking for that one specific part they can't find anywhere else. It’s a noisy, crowded place. You have to shout sometimes just to be heard over the crowd outside. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that have been spinning for years. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly behind the counter. There’s no room for a break room. It’s hard work, and the stairs up to the market can be a pain, but we like being here. It’s a historical spot for trade. We don't do much advertising. People find us because we’ve always been at this same spot.
