Down in Khanpur at B 38/4, things are always moving fast. We run Silpi Communication, a small shop where we handle mobile phones, recharges, and various small gadgets. It’s a compact space, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the accessories and display the phones. Most of our day is spent talking to people from the neighborhood who drop in because their screen broke or they need a new SIM card. It’s a lot of sitting behind the counter and waiting for the next person to walk through the door. Khanpur is a very lived-in area, so we know most of the regulars by their first names. We don't have a big staff, just us managing the sales and the minor repairs. The shop gets a bit dusty because of all the traffic on the main road outside, so we are always wiping down the glass counters. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes we get people coming in just to ask for directions or to use the phone for a quick call. We don’t mind. It’s just part of being a local shop in a busy part of Delhi. We try to keep things simple and honest here. There are no big speeches or complicated rules, just us helping people with their phones and staying connected with the local community.
