Shukla Telecom Centre

Shukla Telecom Centre is right here in Kalkaji, specifically across from Okhla Phase 2 at Z 43. It is not a very big place, just a simple shop we have been running for a long time now. Most days start with opening the shutters and dusting off the counter because the road outside gets quite a lot of traffic. You can see the cars and trucks heading into the industrial area all day long. We have some glass cases with basic phone accessories and some recharge vouchers hanging up. It is mostly just me or my cousin sitting here. People from the nearby blocks come in when their data runs out or if they need a new screen guard put on. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking noise that we keep meaning to fix but never get around to it. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We know most of the people who walk past every morning on their way to work. It’s a busy spot but we like the noise and the constant movement of the city. We don't have any fancy computer systems for everything, just a notebook where we jot down what's important. It’s a basic way of doing things but it has worked for years. If you are looking for the latest expensive gadgets, this probably isn't the spot, but for the everyday stuff, we are usually around from morning until late evening. This shop is just a part of our daily life and we try to keep things as honest as we can for the neighbors.
