Shri Shankar Ji Telecom

Shri Shankar Ji Telecom is a small place located at 1/1110 in Shahdara. It’s not much to look at from the outside, just a shop front filled with mobile accessories and recharge posters. We spend most of the day behind the glass counter. People come in constantly because their screens are cracked or their batteries won't hold a charge anymore. It's a lot of fiddling with tiny screws and thin cables. The noise from the Shahdara streets is always in the background, with the metro and the rickshaws. We sell a lot of tempered glass and cheap headphones too. It's the kind of place where neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask for help with a setting on their new phone. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to fix things. The shelves are a bit crowded with boxes of old phone cases that nobody wants anymore, but we keep them just in case. Sometimes it gets a bit frustrating when we can't find a spare part for an older model, but we usually figure something out. We open up around ten in the morning and stay until late because that’s when most people are heading home from work and realize they need something for their phone. It’s a simple life, just helping people stay connected and making sure their devices keep working for another few months. We don't do anything fancy, just keep the counter clean and wait for the next person.
