Shri Ram Trading Company

Shri Ram Trading Company has been operating out of Gandhi Nagar for quite a while now. We are on Krishan Dutt Street, specifically Subhash Road 9/702. This area is famous for textiles, and we are right in the thick of it. Our shop is mostly filled with rolls of fabric and big bags of materials waiting to be moved. It’s a very busy environment with laborers carrying heavy loads on their backs all day long. I spend most of my time talking to suppliers or checking the quality of the cloth that arrives. The shop itself is a bit old, with wooden floors that creak when you walk on them. We don't have much of a display; it's more of a place where business happens over a cup of tea. Gandhi Nagar can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We deal with all sorts of people, from small shopkeepers to larger wholesalers. My son helps me with the bookkeeping now, which is good because I prefer being out on the floor. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just show the samples we have and talk about the prices. Some days are incredibly hectic with orders flying in, and other days we just wait for the trucks to show up. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and we’ve stayed with it because it works for us and our neighbors in the textile market.
