Shree Sai Communications

Working out of Uttam Nagar is an experience because of how fast everything moves around here. Our shop, Shree Sai Communications, sits right in the thick of it where the foot traffic never really stops. We deal with all sorts of mobile issues, from software glitches to broken charging ports, and it feels like there is always something new to learn because phones change so fast. The shop itself is pretty basic, just some shelves, a repair bench in the back, and a counter where we take the orders. It’s often quite dusty because of all the construction and the traffic nearby, so we are constantly wiping down the glass. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle the tools. Most of our day is spent under the bright desk lamp looking at circuit boards. We see a lot of frustrated people who rely on their phones for everything, so we try to get things back to them as quickly as we can without rushing the job too much. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, which can be tiring on the eyes after eight or nine hours. We eat our lunch quickly behind the counter when there is a quiet moment, which doesn't happen often. The neighborhood knows us as the place to go when something stops working, and that’s plenty for us to keep the doors open every day from morning until the market closes.
