Shree Balaji Music Center

Setting up Shree Balaji Music Center in Shahdara Jyoti Colony B132 was something we did because we just liked sound systems. The shop is small and the shelves are packed with speakers and those little Bluetooth boxes everyone wants now. We used to have more CDs, but things change. Now it’s mostly wires and connectors. The walls have a few posters that have been there for years. It gets dusty because of the road outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the displays. Sometimes the neighbors complain when we test the bass on a new subwoofer, but it’s all in good fun. People bring in old amplifiers that haven't worked in a decade, hoping we can find a part. We poke around with the soldering iron and see what happens. It's not always a quick fix. Sometimes it takes a week. We drink a lot of tea here. Usually, one of us is sitting on the stool by the door watching the bikes go by. It’s a quiet life in B132. We know most of the kids who come in looking for headphones. We don't use a computer for accounts, just a big ledger. It works for us. If someone needs a specific cable, we usually find it in one of the plastic bins under the counter. The wooden floor creaks in the corner near the repair bench. We’ve been meaning to fix that but it’s become part of the shop’s character now.
