Shiv Tent & Light House

Shiv Tent & Light House is situated at C-128 in the Mayapuri Industrial Area. Being in an industrial zone, it’s always a bit chaotic outside with trucks and laborers everywhere. Our space is more of a warehouse than a shop. It’s where we keep all the tents, the heavy poles, and the bundles of lights for local events. It’s heavy work, moving these things in and out every day. We’ve been in Mayapuri for a long time. People from the surrounding neighborhoods know us when they have a function or a wedding coming up. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and decorations. It’s a working environment where we’re constantly checking the gear. We look for tears in the fabric or bulbs that have burnt out. It can get pretty hectic when there are a lot of bookings at once. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of rules. We’re just a local crew that knows how to get a tent up and make sure the lights stay on. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Most of our business comes from people seeing our work at other events. It’s a simple, honest way to work. We show up, set everything up, and take it down when it’s over. That’s what we do here at C-128. It’s just us and the equipment, keeping the local functions going.
