Shenki Light And Decoration is right in the middle of the Jheel Scooter Market, specifically Gali No 1 in Rajgarh Colony. If you’ve been to the market, you probably know how crowded it gets with all the vehicles and people moving around. Our shop is full of lights and all sorts of decorative items for every occasion. It can look a bit messy with wires hanging here and there, but we know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of our time untangling strings of lights or testing bulbs to make sure they actually work before they go out. The shop in Gali No 1 is where we do all the prep work. When there’s a festival or a big event, it gets really hectic here. Boxes get piled up to the ceiling and we barely have room to stand. Rajgarh Colony is a lively place, and being in the Scooter Market means there’s always noise outside. We don’t really have a showroom; it’s more of a workspace where we get things ready for people. People come in to pick out what they need for their homes or parties. We’ve been here at this location for a good while. It’s just how Shenki Light And Decoration operates. Nothing too fancy, just a lot of colorful things and a lot of work. The days can be long, especially when we’re setting up for someone, but the shop is our home base.
