Shanker Hi-Fi Dj

Working out of Deepak Vihar in Sector 62 is always interesting because of how much goes on around here. Shanker Hi-Fi Dj is basically a storage space full of heavy speakers, amplifiers, and miles of black cable. We are right near Choti Masjid, so we hear the calls all day long while we pack our gear. Most of the time, our clothes are a bit dirty from lifting the sound boxes and setting up stages. We don't really have a quiet office. It is more like a garage where we test the bass and make sure the mixers are working. Noida can be a loud place, and we definitely add to that sometimes. We spend a lot of nights out at different spots, then come back here to unload everything in the early morning hours. It is hard work on the back, but we are used to it by now. The neighborhood is mostly houses and small shops, so people see us moving our equipment in and out of the trucks quite often. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just play music and make sure the sound is loud enough for everyone to hear. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs during breaks and just watch the traffic go by on the main road. It is a simple life centered around the next gig we have to get to.
