You can find us at Shakarpur Vikas Marg D-64. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with tools and tiny screws. Phones these days break all the time, mostly screens or batteries that won't hold a charge. We sit at the workbench for hours, sometimes squinting at those little circuit boards. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting for parts to arrive. The traffic outside on Vikas Marg is always loud, so we usually have a small radio playing in the background. It helps pass the time when there’s a difficult fix. My brother handles the screen replacements while I look at the software issues. We started out with just one table and a few screwdrivers. Now there are shelves everywhere with old phone cases and spare parts we might need someday. It gets a bit cramped when three people walk in at once. We don’t really do fancy advertising or anything. People usually just see the sign while they’re walking to the metro or someone tells them we’re here. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought because a part is stuck in shipping. We just tell it like it is. No point in making up stories about why a phone isn't ready. The lighting in the back could be better, but we make do. It’s honest work, keeping people's devices running for another year or two. We just try to keep up with all the new models coming out.
