Sargam Tent House

Sargam Tent House is over in Anand Vihar, in the C-block market. It’s a local spot where everyone knows each other. Our office isn’t much to look at. It’s basically a desk and a few chairs for when people come to talk about their events. Most of our stuff is kept in a godown nearby. We have all the basic things like chairs, tables, and the big tents for functions. Life here is mostly about the schedule. One day we are setting up for a small birthday, and the next day it’s a big religious gathering. The market is always busy in the evenings, so that’s when most people drop by to see us. We don’t have a fancy way of doing things. We just write everything down in a big register. Sometimes the guys are out late taking things down after a party is over. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving those heavy metal frames around. We’ve been here for a long time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. But we’ve stayed in the same spot. We don't do any big promotions. We just rely on the fact that we've been here and people know they can find us in C-block. It’s a steady life, even if it gets a bit chaotic during the wedding season when everyone wants things at once. We just take each booking as it comes and try to keep our pipes and cloths in decent shape for the next person.
