Our spot for Sakaal Group Of Publication is tucked away in Mohan Garden, New Delhi, specifically at L-2/B-6A. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how busy and packed the streets can get. It’s a different world compared to the big offices in Central Delhi. We’re in a building that feels more like a part of the neighborhood than a corporate headquarters. There’s always the sound of scooters buzzing past and the occasional shout from a street vendor outside. Inside the office, things are usually a bit chaotic with papers and files piled up on every available surface. We handle a lot of the publication work from here, so there’s always a sense of a deadline looming over someone’s head. The lighting isn't the greatest, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but we’ve made the space our own over the years. We have a small corner for the electric kettle where we make way too much tea during the winter months. New Delhi summers are tough, but we manage with a few old coolers that rattle quite a bit. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls, but it’s where the work happens. Most of the staff has been around for years, so we’re more like a bunch of neighbors working together. We don't put on any airs; we just come in, find a spot among the stacks of paper, and get through the day’s work until it is time to head home.
