Sai Telecom Services

We are situated at Shop No 6 on Parwana Road in the Khurji Khas area. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside Sai Telecom Services, especially when more than three people walk in at the same time. We have been working out of this small space for quite a few years. The shelves are packed with all sorts of things like SIM cards, scratch cards, and some older phone models that we still keep around. The floor is just simple tile and it gets dirty pretty fast with people coming in from the road. Parwana Road is always busy with bikes and rickshaws going past, so it can get noisy throughout the afternoon. We usually keep a small radio playing in the background to drown out some of the traffic sounds. There is a small workbench in the back where we look at phones that aren't working right. It is often cluttered with screws and tiny parts. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one that has faded a bit in the sun. Regulars come by mostly for mobile recharges or to ask questions about their data plans. It is a straightforward kind of shop. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and see who shows up. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we like the people around here. The rainy season makes the roof leak a tiny bit, but we’ve got a bucket.
