Rozy Tent House

We've been doing this for a while here in Jamia Nagar Okhla 331. Most days start with loading the trucks with tents, poles, and those heavy carpets we use. It gets quite busy during wedding season. Sometimes we are up all night setting things up so everything is ready by morning. People around Okhla know us for just getting the work done without much fuss. It is a lot of physical labor, moving chairs and tables around in the heat. We don't have a big fancy office, just the space here where we keep the fabric and the frames stacked up. Most people just walk in or call when they have a function at home and need some shade. We try to keep the stuff clean, but the dust in Delhi is a constant battle for us. Sometimes we handle small birthdays and other times it is a big wedding that takes up the whole street. It's just me and a few boys working together. We know the shortcuts around these narrow lanes pretty well by now. If you've lived in this part of Okhla, you have probably seen our guys in their blue shirts carrying stuff back and forth. We don't do much advertising at all. The work speaks for itself when people see the setup. It’s a simple business. We provide the seating and the roof, and the families bring the noise and the food. It's been like this for years and we just keep going.
