We have been sitting here at Shop No 131 for quite a long time now. Being right inside the District Court Complex in Phase II means there is always a lot of noise and people running around with files. Ravi Telecom Centre isn't a huge place, just a regular shop where we handle phone things. Most days it’s just people coming in because their screen cracked or they need a quick recharge while waiting for their lawyer. The court area gets really crowded in the afternoons, so sometimes it’s hard to even step out for tea. We keep the counters tidy, but with all the dust from the construction nearby, it’s a losing battle. My cousin usually helps out behind the desk. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just shelves with cables and some old phone cases. People know where we are because of the big tree near the entrance of Phase II. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there talking to the neighbors until it comes back. It’s a simple life at the shop. We don’t do anything too complicated, just fixing what we can and selling what people need for their mobiles. If you walk past the main gate and head towards the back of the complex, you’ll see us there at Shop No 131. It is just how things go every day here at the telecom centre. There is always someone looking for a SIM card or wanting to know why their internet is slow.
