Rao Floral & Decorator

I run Rao Floral & Decorator out of Ashiana Vatika in Sector 10A, Gurgaon. We are very close to the fire station, so you can always hear the sirens if there's an emergency nearby. Working with flowers is a bit of a gamble because they don't stay fresh forever. Every morning, I have to check the stock and throw out what has wilted. It's a bit sad, but that's the business. We do a lot of decorating for small parties and some local events. My clothes usually have bits of leaves or tape stuck to them by the afternoon. Sector 10A is a nice area, quite settled. We don't have a massive showroom with fancy lighting. It’s more of a workshop where we put things together. I use a lot of marigolds and roses, whatever is in season at the local market. My hands are usually a bit rough from handling the wires and the thorns. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just see our work at a neighbor's house and ask for our number. It's honest work, and it keeps me busy. Gurgaon 122001 is where we belong. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic near the fire station, but we always manage to finish the job before the guests arrive. It’s just me and a small crew working hard every single day.
