Qazi Tent & Decorator

The office is at B-39/1 in Abdul Fazal Enclave I, Jamia Nagar. Being in Okhla means we are always near where the action is. Qazi Tent & Decorator handles all the stuff people need for weddings or small parties at home. We have piles of colorful fabric, iron poles, and heavy carpets stacked up in the back. It’s not a very clean or organized place because things are always moving in and out on trucks. During the wedding season, it gets very hectic and we hardly have time to sit down for tea. We have some workers who know how to tie the knots and set up the stages quickly. It’s physical work, lifting heavy things and making sure the tents don't fall over if the wind picks up. Sometimes a customer wants a specific color that we have to go out and find elsewhere. We’ve been doing this for a while, so we know which fabrics get ruined easily and which ones last. Jamia Nagar is a crowded place, so navigating the trucks through the narrow lanes is always a bit of a headache. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just this space where we store our gear and talk to people about their events. It’s a lot of sweat and dust, but it’s what we do for the families in the area when they have a celebration.
