Prince Tent House & Caterers

Lajpat Nagar is a busy place to be, and Krishna Market is even more crowded. Our spot is at D-213, and that is where we keep all the poles, fabrics, and cooking gear for Prince Tent House & Caterers. Most of our time is spent out on the road, setting up for weddings or local functions. It’s heavy work, lugging around those big iron pipes and heavy canvas tents, especially when the sun is beating down. When we are back at the shop, we are usually checking the linens or making sure the kitchen pots are scrubbed clean. You can usually smell something cooking nearby because the market is full of food stalls. People come in to talk about their parties, and we just sit down with a notebook and figure out how many chairs they need. It’s a bit chaotic during the wedding season, with phones ringing and trucks being loaded in the middle of the night. We don't really have a fancy office, just some desks and samples of cloth. Sometimes the colors don't look exactly the same in the sunlight, but we try to get it as close as possible. It is a family-type atmosphere here, and we all pitch in with the lifting and the organizing. It’s been this way for years, and the neighborhood knows us well. We just keep doing what we know how to do and hope the rain stays away during the events.
